Remedy Joins ENERGY STAR’s Certification Nation

Remedy Medical Properties is committed to contributing to a greener future by designing, building, and maintaining environmentally conscious and energy-efficient facilities wherever possible. To date, 12 of our buildings have earned ENERGY STAR certification, a designation that recognizes them as among the most energy efficient in the nation.

“We are honored to have so many properties that meet the standards for ENERGY STAR certification, and are thrilled to be included as a member of ENERGY STAR’s Certification Nation as part of the program’s 30th anniversary,” said Jonathan Mensik, assistant vice president of Environmental, Social, Governance at Remedy.

To earn the ENERGY STAR certification, a commercial building or industrial plant must be independently verified to operate more efficiently than 75% of similar properties nationwide. ENERGY STAR certified buildings use an average of 35% less energy and are responsible for 35% less carbon dioxide emissions than typical buildings. That’s important, since commercial buildings and industrial plants are responsible for nearly half of the nation’s energy use and nearly half of its greenhouse gas emissions.
